Senior Design Manager, Strategy Collection

About the role

Atlassian is hiring a Senior Design Manager for its Strategy Collection product, an AI-native strategic portfolio management suite (Focus, Talent and Align, powered by Rovo) that connects strategic bets, workforce capacity, delivery work and financials. It is a 0-to-1, executive-sponsored space where you will define how leaders at large enterprises see, sense and steer their businesses. The role is open to Mountain View, California or remote.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the 0-to-1 design vision for Strategy Collection, establishing new interaction paradigms in a high-ambiguity space.
• Set and enforce a high bar for craft, fit and finish, visual polish, information hierarchy and motion across Focus and Talent.
• Manage, coach and scale a team of 5 to 10 designers.
• Partner as an equal with Product and Engineering leadership on roadmap, prioritization and strategic bets.
• Champion AI-native design workflows, including rapid prototyping, data-driven validation and compressed discovery-to-delivery cycles.
• Advocate for C-suite, transformation and portfolio-manager users so the product earns their trust and delivers actionable clarity.

Required profile

• Experience managing and scaling teams of senior individual contributors and/or design managers.
• A portfolio showing consumer-grade craft and the ability to simplify complex systems into intuitive workflows.
• Proven success in nascent, high-ambiguity 0-to-1 environments.
• Fluency in B2B/enterprise domains such as strategic planning, portfolio governance, analytics, workforce capacity or financial tracking.

Preferred qualifications

• Prior experience at AI-first or AI-forward product teams.
• Familiarity with SPM, OKRs, enterprise analytics, workforce planning or financial governance platforms.

What we offer

• Base pay for new hires depending on location: Zone A $221,400-$289,050, Zone B $199,260-$260,145, Zone C $183,762-$239,912.
