Job description

About the role

Atlassian is looking for a Lead Product Designer to join its Growth Platform team, which owns the Atlassian website. Millions of teams visit the site to discover Atlassian's products, and the team is evolving it from standalone pages into cohesive, end-to-end customer journeys grounded in customer intent and JTBD, shaped by AI-first experiences. As Lead Product Designer you will define that future, partnering with another Lead Designer, Product Management, Engineering, Content and Growth Analytics, and lead both strategy and execution across some of the highest-impact growth experiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Modernize the website's look, feel and narrative to reflect a modern, premium, AI-first technology company, raising the bar for visual hierarchy, typography, motion, grid systems, responsive design and interaction quality, and evolve the website design system.
  • Design landing, discovery and onboarding experiences that communicate product value, capture customer intent and turn interest into engagement, using experimentation and customer insights to improve conversion and early-lifecycle activation.
  • Help shift the website strategy toward cohesive, intent- and persona-driven journeys that guide customers from discovery and evaluation through trial, adoption and deeper engagement.
  • Explore how AI can reshape customer discovery and design, prototyping AI-powered discovery and answer-engine experiences with Engineering and evolving the tools used to design, test and publish experiences.
  • Partner with leaders across Design, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Content and Analytics to champion a design-led approach to growth, mentor other designers and raise the craft bar across the Growth organization.

Required profile

  • 10+ years of product design experience, leading complex, high-visibility web or digital product initiatives from strategy through execution.
  • Exceptional craft in visual design, typography, layout, motion and micro-interactions, responsive design and design systems.
  • Comfortable using AI to think, design and build; experience prototyping in code and with AI-powered tools, including generative UI and AI-assisted workflows.
  • Journey-driven systems thinking, strategic vision, data-informed decision-making and collaborative leadership with senior stakeholders.
  • What sets you apart: experience with high-traffic marketing websites or large-scale customer-facing sites, and experience in growth, experimentation, conversion optimization or lifecycle activation.

Required skills

  • Visual design, typography, motion and micro-interactions
  • Responsive design and design systems
  • Prototyping in code and AI-assisted design tools
