Senior Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

MANTECH is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join its team in Springfield, VA. The role supports 24x7 cybersecurity operations by identifying and mitigating threats to mission systems, analyzing cyber incidents, assessing risk and advising on rapid remediation. It is a full-time, on-site position requiring a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Key responsibilities

• Detect, identify and report possible cyber-attacks, intrusions, anomalous activities and misuse
• Analyze network traffic and system data to find anomalies and potential threats
• Correlate security events and incidents across enterprise sources
• Triage incidents, determine scope, urgency and impact, identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation
• Track and document incidents from detection to resolution, and assess damage to data and infrastructure
• Perform trend analysis and reporting on cyber incidents
• Work a Monday-Friday schedule with on-call availability for 24x7 operations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of cyber experience in lieu of a degree, or 5+ years of cyber experience
• IAT Level II certification (GSEC, Security+, SSCP or CCNA-Security)
• Experience in a Cybersecurity Operations Center environment and familiarity with COTS technologies used there
• Current active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
• Ability to stay seated 50% of the time and occasionally move around the office

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems
• Working knowledge of database and operating system security
• Solid understanding of current security principles, techniques and protocols
• Preferred: CSSP-IR certification (CySA+, CEH)
