Senior Consultant – Federal Healthcare Financial Crime & Fraud Policy

About the role

Deloitte’s Regulatory, Risk & Forensic team seeks a Senior Consultant to support federal healthcare clients in detecting and preventing financial crime, fraud, waste, and abuse. The role involves translating complex regulations into actionable detection criteria using data, AI, and emerging technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Research and interpret regulations, policies, and program rules that affect detection strategies.
• Review open‑source and public information to identify potential fraud, waste, and abuse vulnerabilities.
• Translate policy requirements into detection criteria for analytics engineers and data scientists.
• Support development of referrals and documented findings for further investigation.
• Monitor policy changes and assess impact on existing detection logic.
• Document research and findings per standard operating procedures.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as stand‑ups, sprint planning, and reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years of experience researching and interpreting regulations or policy documents.
• 3+ years supporting programs that identify and mitigate fraud, waste, or abuse.
• Ability to travel 5‑25% and work legally in the United States without sponsorship.
