Principal Audit Manager

About the role

The Principal Audit Manager will lead internal audit activities for Marex's US regulated entities, focusing on regulatory‑required audits. Reporting to the Head of Internal Audit – North America, the role owns the US regulatory audit program and works closely with senior business, compliance and legal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the U.S. regulatory audit program across broker‑dealer, FCM and swap dealer entities.
• Develop and maintain the annual U.S. regulatory audit plan and oversee audits from planning through reporting.
• Review and approve audit workpapers, findings and reports, and track remediation.
• Monitor regulatory developments, adjust audit coverage and incorporate trends into audit programs.
• Build strong partnerships with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations and business leadership.
• Present audit findings to senior management and coordinate with regulators and external auditors.
• Manage, coach and develop audit team members, including co‑sourced resources.

Required profile

• 7+ years of internal audit experience in a complex financial services organisation.
• Deep knowledge of US financial services regulations for broker‑dealers, FCMs and swap dealers.
• Proven track record of leading and delivering regulatory‑required audits.
• Experience managing relationships with senior business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with commodities, derivatives or cleared products businesses.

Required skills

• Strong command of risk‑based audit methodology and internal control frameworks.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills for senior audiences.
• Proficient information‑technology skills.
• Working knowledge of data‑analytics tools applied in an audit context.
