Senior Consultant, Encore Financial Reporting Controllership

About the role

Deloitte is hiring a Senior Consultant for its Encore Financial Reporting Controllership program within the Strategy, Growth and Transformation practice. The role works with finance leaders to modernize core processes, improve transparency and drive better business decisions, addressing record-to-report and controllership challenges through practical, technology-enabled solutions. The Deloitte Encore program is designed for professionals who have left the workforce to return to work, with mentorship and client service experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assess current-state controllership processes, identify gaps and define target-state opportunities
• Develop transformation roadmaps and solution hypotheses across people, process, technology and governance
• Apply accounting, regulatory and compliance requirements to finance transformation initiatives
• Design improvements across finance data, cost transparency, financial close and consolidation, and reporting processes
• Manage day-to-day client delivery, support engagement planning and contribute to proposals and recruiting efforts

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in accounting, finance transformation, financial planning and analysis or cost accounting
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Risk Management or Economics
• One or more of CPA, CIA, CFA, CA, CCA, CMA, CAIA, FRM or progress toward one of these credentials
• Ability to travel 50% on average
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
• Preferred: Master's degree in Business, Information Systems or Accounting; experience with internal controls or Sarbanes-Oxley compliance

Required skills

• Experience with automation tools such as Alteryx workflows or Microsoft 365 Copilot
• Preferred: experience with ERP finance and reporting platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday or JD Edwards
• Preferred: process mapping, gap analysis, requirements definition, financial modeling or value mapping

The stated wage range is $116,200 to $229,100, depending on skills, experience, licensure and other factors. Recruiting ends on 01/14/2027.
