Senior Clinical Quality Analyst

About the role

UnitedHealth Group is hiring a Senior Clinical Quality Analyst in Seattle, Washington. Under general supervision, the role supports patient experience projects and programs, providing program management support, small-scale improvement facilitation, data analysis, reporting and evaluation, and coordination of education or training for physicians and clinical staff.

Key responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert for the patient experience program and lean improvement, supporting improvement teams with work plans, timelines and documentation, and recommending policy and procedure changes
• Evaluate workflows using lean principles to improve quality of care, efficiency, service and patient safety
• Analyze patient experience data, monitor trends and collaborate with the Advanced Analytics Department to deliver project reports
• Plan and organize education and training for physicians and clinical staff, and support clinic initiatives with lean methods
• Help coordinate first- and third-party review programs with clinicians, leaders and the patient experience committee
• Complete annual compliance training and maintain confidentiality of patient information under HIPAA

Required profile

• 3+ years of health care experience, preferably in programs such as patient experience or quality
• 2+ years of experience in a clinical setting
• Experience with process improvements
• Ability to work with colleagues, negotiate, receive feedback and follow written and oral instructions

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook and email
• Familiarity with electronic medical records preferred
• Lean methodology, project management and data analysis skills
• Excellent written and oral communication, organization and time management
