Medical Science Liaison, Oncology (WA, OR, AK, ID, MT)

About the role

Amgen is hiring an Oncology Medical Science Liaison covering Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho and Montana, with home base in Seattle or Portland. The MSL communicates the scientific platform to healthcare decision makers, including academic medical centers, and supports Amgen's goal of serving patients living with serious illnesses.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate the scientific platform to healthcare decision makers, including academic medical centers, and explain complex scientific information and research concepts
• Provide clinical and economic value information to payers and formulary decision makers
• Identify and train speakers' bureau members and keep them up to date on new data
• Respond to requests for investigator-sponsored research proposals and support Amgen-sponsored research
• Provide scientific support, within compliance standards, for commercial and corporate accounts and colleagues forwarding HCP inquiries
• Foster scientific relationships with fellows in training and lead or join committees and project teams supporting MSL strategy
• Mentor MSLs as designated by MSL leadership

Required profile

• Basic: doctorate, or master's degree with 3 years of Medical Affairs experience, or bachelor's degree with 5 years of Medical Affairs experience
• Preferred: Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or D.O.; 3+ years in a medically related field including 1+ year in clinical practice, clinical research or medical research
• Preferred: current Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs experience at a biotech or pharma company, and oncology/hematology expertise

• Salary range of $156,998.40 to $212,409.60, depending on skills, experience and qualifications
