Senior Client Executive – Employee Health & Benefits

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is hiring a Senior Client Manager on its Employee Health & Benefits team. The role develops and strengthens client relationships through timely, high-quality service and independently expands assigned accounts. It sits within a business insurance, employee health and benefits, retirement and private client insurance business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and strengthen client relationships and independently expand assigned accounts.
• Work closely with sales and client management colleagues.
• Coordinate marketing and placement of new and renewal business.
• Manage daily account activities and delegate tasks as needed to meet service deadlines.
• Provide leadership and mentorship within the team.
• Advise clients on employee health and benefits, market trends and data analytics.
• Work with producers to maintain service standards, pursue account enhancement opportunities and generate referral business.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, human resources, communication or a related field, or equivalent work experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience in the employee benefits industry, ideally with an employer, insurer/administrator, consultant or broker.
• State Life & Health Insurance license (required within 90 days of hire).
• Experience managing relationships and face-to-face client experience.

Required skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Plus: knowledge of technical underwriting and commercial industry laws, products, coverages and markets.
• Plus: proficiency with Agency Management Systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
