Senior Casualty Claims Representative

About the role

Join MAPFRE as a Senior Casualty Claims Representative, managing moderate‑severity Bodily Injury and Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist claims from investigation through resolution. This position is not field adjusting and offers hybrid or fully remote work options.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage moderate‑severity Bodily Injury and UM/UIM claims, analyzing coverage, liability, damages, and establishing reserves.
• Conduct comprehensive investigations using statements, reports, medical records, and other documentation.
• Negotiate fair settlements and manage litigated or attorney‑represented claims with defense counsel and experts.
• Identify fraud indicators, subrogation opportunities, and regulatory considerations.
• Provide timely, professional communication to customers, claimants, attorneys, and business partners.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues and contribute to team improvement.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of casualty claims adjusting experience (Bodily Injury, Auto Liability, UM/UIM, or comparable).
• Strong investigative, analytical, decision‑making, and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to manage a caseload, balance priorities, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree, associate degree with relevant experience, or equivalent combination.
