Senior Associate – Risk Advisory

About the role

Riveron’s Risk Advisory team is seeking a Senior Associate to help clients navigate complex governance, risk and compliance challenges. You will work closely with senior team members to assess internal controls over financial reporting, develop remediation roadmaps, and support SOX readiness initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assess design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) and perform risk assessments.
• Identify control gaps, design remediation plans, and create detailed process flows and risk/control matrices.
• Coordinate project teams, monitor schedules and budgets, and communicate progress to clients.
• Deliver presentations and written reports on findings, recommendations, and compliance status.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in external audit or risk advisory.
• Relevant certifications preferred (CPA, CIA, CISA).
• Strong analytical mindset, client‑focused attitude, and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• SOX compliance and internal controls expertise.
• Knowledge of COSO and COBIT frameworks.
• Experience with risk assessment, control design, and remediation planning.
• Proficiency in creating control process flows and risk/control matrices.
