About the role

Senior Associate, Aerospace, Defense and Environmental at Santander will manage a portfolio of credit account relationships, overseeing credit risk, underwriting, and loan execution for high‑level banking clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of credit accounts, generating net interest income and fee revenue.
• Lead loan approval discussions, underwrite loan requests, negotiate credit terms, and coordinate loan documentation and closing.
• Produce high‑quality underwriting documents, conduct risk analysis, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
• Maintain client relationships through periodic meetings, address credit inquiries, and identify cross‑sell opportunities.

Required profile

• 9+ years of experience in credit structuring, underwriting, and cross‑selling.
• Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in financial statement modeling.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to work independently.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
