Senior Arabic Linguist (TS/SCI Polygraph)

About the role

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled, cleared Arabic Linguist to support its mission-driven team within the Intelligence Community. The role covers translation, interpretation, transcription and gisting, and requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph, eligibility for a clearance upgrade, and the ability to travel OCONUS and support the contract 24/7.

Key responsibilities

• Translate materials (digital and hard copy) between Arabic and English, capturing nuances, cultural and geopolitical references and using subject-matter-consistent terminology.
• Provide consecutive interpretation; simultaneous interpretation may occasionally be required.
• Transcribe audio or internet-based content and produce high-quality English reports.
• Gist and summarize key facts and abstract concepts, prioritizing critical information from large datasets.

Required profile

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph, eligible for a clearance upgrade (fully adjudicated before work begins).
• Bachelor's degree with 8-12 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 6-10 years; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years of recent professional translation and interpretation experience.
• Successful completion of a Leidos-administered language proficiency test at Senior level or higher; HLT experience and US immigration experience are highly desired.
• Ability to complete the required weapons training and to travel OCONUS, supporting the contract 24/7.
• Preferred: experience as a deployed linguist in contingency operations, familiarity with the Intelligence Community, military or law enforcement environments, briefing skills, and proficiency in multiple languages.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic online research.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and target languages.

Pay range: $92,300 - $166,850.
