About the role
Airbus Helicopters is seeking a Senior Aircraft Technician – Sheetmetal on a contract basis to join the Retrofit team in Columbus, Mississippi. You will install sheet‑metal parts and assemblies on helicopters, ensuring structural integrity and system functionality.
Key responsibilities
- Install sheet‑metal parts and assemblies, including skins, frames, tail booms and stabilizers.
- Perform drilling, fitting and riveting of helicopter sub‑assemblies.
- Develop patterns or templates to simplify manufacturing processes and verify dimensions.
Required profile
- Minimum six years of experience working on aircraft sheet‑metal, preferably rotorcraft.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and engineering drawings.
- Current A&P license is a plus.
- Authorized to work in the United States and fluent in English.
Required skills
- Sheet‑metal installation and assembly.
- Drilling, fitting and riveting techniques.
- Blueprint and diagram interpretation.
