Senior Agile Delivery Lead - AVP

About the role

Barclays is hiring a Senior Agile Delivery Lead (AVP) for its Digital Asset Technology organization, based in the Whippany, NJ office. The role combines strategic business management, organizational leadership, agile delivery, governance and execution oversight, acting as a trusted partner to Digital Asset Technology leadership who translates strategy into execution across engineering, architecture, product, operations, risk, compliance, legal and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Support Agile teams in following Scrum principles, removing obstacles and improving collaboration so teams can deliver high-quality, iterative results
• Facilitate Scrum events, promote continuous improvement and act as a bridge between the team and external stakeholders
• Maintain backlog refinement, ensure quality of ceremony artefacts and iterate on stakeholder feedback
• Identify and remove impediments, escalate risks and protect the squad from interruptions
• Foster high-performing teams, coach Agile attributes and build trust with business stakeholders, product teams and vendors
• Ensure data quality and represent the team at governance forums where required

Required profile

• Proven leadership with strong communication, executive presentation and stakeholder management skills, able to influence senior leaders
• Experience as a Chief of Staff, Program Manager, Scrum Master, Delivery Lead or similar, leading complex projects from planning through execution
• Ability to align cross-functional teams across engineering, architecture, product, business, legal, risk, compliance and operations
• Background facilitating Agile delivery across large-scale technology programs
• Understanding of digital asset platforms, blockchain infrastructure, tokenization, stablecoins, tokenized deposits, digital custody, wallets and distributed ledgers, and experience with digital asset service providers
• Knowledge of payments, brokerage, capital markets, liquidity management, settlement and post-trade operating models, and of third-party vendor governance in regulated environments
• Agile certifications such as CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master or SAFe RTE are highly valued

What we offer

• Base salary of $115,000 to $155,000
