Application Support Analyst

About the role

Barclays is hiring an Application Support Analyst in its Whippany, NJ office. You will maintain the stability and resilience of Barclays' Global Fraud platforms, ensuring customer and operational protection. The role drives availability, accuracy and rapid recovery of production systems, supports business continuity and strengthens fraud risk management, and acts as a key point of coordination across technology, operations and business stakeholders across US and UK service windows.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the stability and resilience of the Global Fraud platforms and drive rapid recovery of production systems
• Coordinate incident resolution and communication across technology, operations and business stakeholders
• Support business continuity and strengthen fraud risk management outcomes
• Act as a key point of coordination across US and UK service windows

Required profile

• Considerable domain knowledge in banking or the financial sector
• Proficiency in Unix and Linux, with shell scripting experience
• Solid understanding of the SDLC, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Ability to act as a contact point for stakeholders outside the immediate function and to escalate breaches of policy appropriately

Required skills

• Monitoring and observability with AppDynamics, Elasticsearch, Netcool and Kibana
• Middleware and platforms: WebSphere, JBoss, Apache and Tomcat
• DevOps and automation tools such as Jenkins, Chef and CI/CD pipelines
• Highly valued: Java/J2EE, APIs, Oracle PL/SQL, OpenShift/aPaaS, AWS (an added advantage)

What we offer

• Permanent position with a base salary of $80,000 to $120,000
