Senior Accountant

About the role

Rad AI is seeking a hands‑on Senior Accountant to own core accounting operations for its fast‑growing SaaS business. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you will partner with FP&A, People Operations and other cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and strong controls.

Key responsibilities

• Own assigned areas of the monthly, quarterly and annual close, including journal entries, schedules and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Review and approve U.S. and Canadian payrolls, handling payroll journal entries, benefits, bonuses, commissions and related liabilities.
• Manage cash, prepaid, accrued expenses, fixed assets, inter‑company activity and other general‑ledger accounts.
• Oversee accounts payable and spend‑management processes, including vendor onboarding, expense classification, payment approvals and 1099 support.
• Support audits, tax filings and compliance by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with hands‑on month‑end close ownership.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and ability to analyze financial statements for accuracy.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets (large datasets, lookups, aggregations).
• Experience with modern ERP, expense‑management and payroll systems (e.g., Rillet, Ramp, Rippling).
• Knowledge of payroll and benefits accounting, accounts payable and spend‑management.
