Senior Account Manager - Commercial Insurance

About the role

McGriff, a division of Marsh McLennan Agency, is hiring a Senior Account Manager on its Commercial Lines team in Atlanta. You will act as a leader and resource for colleagues and peers, delivering exceptional client service and mentoring others.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze client coverage needs independently and recommend coverage options
• Suggest new lines of coverage for existing clients
• Build strong relationships with clients and carrier representatives
• Support Producer and Marketing Account Executives in managing larger and more complex accounts

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training
• Five years of relevant commercial insurance industry experience
• Property and casualty insurance license
• Experience with larger, more complex commercial accounts
• Ability to travel, occasionally overnight

Required skills

• Knowledge of coverages, carrier guidelines, underwriting and legislative changes
• Strong client relations, communication and service skills
• Leadership skills, including giving direction, feedback and training to others
• Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office

Additional qualifications such as an advanced degree, certification, experience with requests for proposals and a designation are a plus but not required.
