Commercial Insurance Marketing Account Executive

About the role

McGriff, a division of Marsh McLennan Agency, is hiring a Marketing Account Executive on its Commercial Lines team in Atlanta. You will lead and coordinate marketing activities on new and renewal business and support the Producer in sales activities, acting as a consultative point of contact for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a consultative point of contact for clients, identify their needs and provide recommendations with supporting rationale, with limited or no oversight from the Producer
• Demonstrate strong negotiation skills and respond to Requests for Proposals
• Participate in prospect meetings and direct and lead mid-year reviews
• Work closely with national leadership to drive line-of-business strategy and initiatives
• Lead, mentor and train other account service team members

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or related experience
• Six years of commercial insurance industry experience
• Property and casualty insurance license
• Ability to travel overnight
• Additional qualifications such as advanced degrees, insurance certifications and prior team leadership are a plus but not required

Required skills

• Knowledge of markets, policies and coverage issues for all states and industries serviced
• Organizational skills to plan and prioritize team workload and oversee workflows
• Leadership skills, including giving direction, praise and constructive feedback
• Strong communication, persuasion and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite
