About the role

We are seeking a qualified Secondary Science Teacher to join Hillside High School for the 2026‑2027 academic year. The successful candidate will deliver biology and geoscience instruction to high‑school students, fostering scientific inquiry and achievement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess biology and geoscience curriculum in accordance with California standards.
• Develop engaging lesson plans, laboratory activities, and project‑based learning experiences.
• Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student success.
• Participate in professional development and school‑wide initiatives.

Required profile

• Valid California teaching credential authorizing instruction in Science (Biology & Geoscience).
• English Learner Authorization (certificate or embedded in credential).
• Recent letters of recommendation (three, dated within the last twelve months).
• Letter of introduction and current resume.
• Copy of transcript and credential verification.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of biology and geoscience content.
• Effective classroom management and instructional techniques.
