About the role
The Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs is hiring a Second Pastry Cook for its pastry department, reporting to the Executive Pastry Chef or Lead. The role covers guest interaction, ordering, cleaning and clerical duties alongside the main pastry work.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Pastry Cook and Pastry Chef in preparing desserts.
- Complete scheduled assignments, including station preparation and station service.
- Follow the lead's direction and use recipes or instructions provided, working efficiently.
- Obtain all necessary utensils, tools and supplies.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a production kitchen.
- High school diploma or G.E.D., or an A.O.S./A.S. degree in Culinary Arts, or completion of a 3-year Pro-Start program or 3 years in an equivalent food production operation.
- Fluent reading, writing and speaking of English.
- Able to stand continuously, walk frequently, bend and stoop often, and lift more than 41 pounds horizontally, from floor to waist and by grasping, pushing or pulling.
- Consistent demonstration of the Ten Essential Attributes for All Employees.
