Seasonal Server - White Sulphur Springs

About the role

The Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, is hiring eight full-time seasonal servers for a temporary contract from March 23, 2026 to January 14, 2027. Servers are responsible for delivering a five-star, five-diamond guest experience and reporting directly to the Director of Beverage. On-the-job training is provided.

Key responsibilities

• Escort guests, offer chair and napkin assistance, seat them and present menus and beverages with full knowledge of offerings and preparation methods.
• Take orders into the point-of-sale system, serve beverages by full club service, deliver bread and butter, polish and set silverware and glassware, and fire courses.
• Serve and describe all courses, clear courses, check guest satisfaction, take dessert orders and prepare and serve coffee, tea, espresso, cappuccino and latte.
• Present checks, process payments, help guests depart with a genuine farewell, complete side work and support the dining team with the service script.
• Maintain a clean, organized side station, stay professional with guests and callers, and keep supplies available.

Required profile

• Preferred: six months of experience in a hotel, resort, restaurant or private club.
• Familiarity with applicable ABC laws and attendance at pre-shift and training meetings.
• Ability to handle fluctuating demand and assist other team members.

What we offer

• Wage of at least $16.54 per hour, with overtime at $24.81 per hour; tipped position with a minimum cash wage of $6.67 per hour plus tips.
• Guaranteed minimum of 35 hours per week, with evening and weekend work possible; wages paid bi-weekly.
• Reimbursement of transportation and daily subsistence during travel, and reasonable return costs after the contract ends.
• All tools, supplies and equipment provided at no cost.
