Seasonal Rooftop Server – New York

About the role

Arlo Hotels is seeking a dynamic Seasonal Rooftop Server to join its rooftop venue in New York from early April through mid‑September. You will be the front‑line ambassador for guests, delivering memorable dining experiences while coordinating closely with the kitchen and front‑of‑house teams.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests courteously, use eye contact and names whenever possible.
• Take food and beverage orders, provide recommendations, and input orders accurately into the POS system.
• Maintain a backup order record on a server dupe pad.
• Retrieve and serve beverages promptly, following right‑hand service standards.
• Open wine and champagne bottles using proper wine‑service techniques.
• Anticipate guest needs, respond quickly, and resolve complaints proactively.
• Report any accidents, incidents, or guest concerns to management in a timely manner.
• Keep service areas clean, stocked, and organized, including bread, butter spreads, and linen supplies.
• Clear courses efficiently and maintain hygiene and grooming standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a fast‑paced restaurant or hotel service environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
