Rooftop Server (Seasonal)

About the role

Arlo Hotels is seeking a dynamic Rooftop Server for its seasonal rooftop venue in New York. The role runs from early April to mid‑September and focuses on delivering an exceptional dining experience while acting as the bridge between the front‑of‑house and kitchen teams.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests courteously, use guest names, and maintain eye contact.
• Take food and beverage orders, input them accurately into the POS system, and record a backup on a dupe pad.
• Serve beverages promptly, open wine and champagne bottles using proper techniques, and deliver bread and butter according to par levels.
• Clear plates and maintain a clean, organized service area throughout the shift.
• Communicate guest concerns to management quickly and resolve issues proactively.
• Adhere to health, safety, and personal hygiene standards, and complete all opening duties.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a fast‑paced restaurant or hotel environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Honesty, integrity, and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Willingness to work the seasonal schedule from April to September.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a POS (Point‑of‑Sale) system.
