About the role

Cadence Academy Preschool is looking for a vibrant Seasonal Preschool Teacher to create a fun, nurturing environment for young learners during the summer season in Edgewater, New Jersey. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on fostering curiosity, safety, and social growth for preschool children.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a warm, positive classroom where children feel safe to explore and learn.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to deliver an engaging, age‑appropriate curriculum.
• Communicate daily milestones and progress to parents.
• Guide play activities, ensuring safety and encouraging curiosity.
• Model kindness and appropriate social behaviors.
• Help design daily schedules that balance quiet time, active play, indoor/outdoor activities, and motor skill development.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• Meets all state preschool teacher‑assistant requirements.
• Flexible and willing to work within business hours.
• Preferred: prior experience as a teacher assistant or in a licensed daycare.
