Seasonal Bartender

About the role

The Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs is hiring a seasonal bartender. The role covers guest interaction, ordering, cleaning and clerical duties, and requires knowledge of professional bar service and mixology.

Key responsibilities

• Take and fill beverage and food orders effectively and efficiently, using appropriate selling skills
• Complete bar stocking, prepare fruit and other garnishes, and keep the bar clean
• Execute duties according to Standard Operating Procedures and uphold safety practices
• Follow 5-star, 5-diamond guidelines and become knowledgeable of wine and wine presentation
• Convey intelligent, friendly, informative conversation with guests and close reports
• Lock down the bar and work split shifts (11:00am-3:00pm and 4:30pm-10:30pm), including weekends and holidays

Required profile

• Two years of customer service and F&B service experience required
• Previous bartending and bar service experience strongly preferred
• Able to speak pleasantly and positively with guests and with staff

Required skills

• Mixology certificate or training preferred
• Wine training and TIPS training preferred
• Ability to use the point of sale system
• Ability to obtain a West Virginia Food Handler's card
