About the role

This position is responsible for underwriting SBA 7a, SBA 504 and USDA loans within a specialized industry vertical, gathering and analyzing complex financial information, and preparing credit memorandums.

Key responsibilities

Review and approve all underwriting conditions and third‑party credit reports in a timely manner.
Underwrite SBA 7a, 504 and USDA loans in accordance with the bank’s policies and procedures.
Analyze complex financial information utilizing Moody’s Analytics software.
Ensure proper pre‑funding quality control steps and regulatory compliance for all loans.
Provide guidance and training to team members involved in loan processing and funding.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum 10 years of SBA 7a and 504 loan underwriting experience.
Thorough knowledge of SBA lending rules, regulations and practices.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
