Satellite Systems Engineer

About the role

CACI is hiring a Satellite Systems Engineer for a high-speed resource management position that collaborates, coordinates and optimizes resource capabilities across multiple missions. It is a regular long-term assignment, full time, with up to 10% travel outside the continental US. Selected candidates must pass a government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for classified information access.

Key responsibilities

• Work in a crew/shift position with 12-hour shifts, rotating days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Provide technical solutions to complex mission management problems, with minimal supervision and following established procedures while finding new solutions.
• Interact with multiple customers, on and off site.
• Produce and execute mission plans, schedules, assessments and activities for operating, tasking and tuning mission assets.
• Develop detailed plans and procedures for strategic planning, system collection, mission execution and performance analysis and optimization.

Required profile

• University degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience, with at least 5 years of related work experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Ability to work in a high-stress, near-real-time environment and communicate with local senior management and remote personnel.
• Previous certification in mission management, satellite operations or SIGINT experience is preferred.

Required skills

• UNIX, web-based applications, operational chat rooms, SUN and/or Linux workstations, and satellite and payload configurations.
• Ability to use multiple computer software applications at once.
