Sales Manager, Redi Carpet (Phoenix, AZ)

About the role

HD Supply is hiring a Sales Manager for its Redi Carpet business in the Phoenix, Arizona territory. The manager directs a sales force to achieve sales and profit goals, designs and recommends sales and marketing programs, sets short- and long-term sales strategies, and plans, forecasts and reports on sales and competitive pricing. The role involves field work and overnight travel.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day activities of individual sales representatives, who may be grouped by channel, market or product unit.
• Define the sales process and develop efficient, creative sales strategies that drive desired sales outcomes.
• Analyze data and develop reports to identify opportunities for sales and revenue growth in the territory.
• Spend time in the field, interacting with customers and internal partners to resolve escalated issues.
• Develop sales processes that increase market share within the assigned territory.
• Manage and develop direct reports, including outside sales and special product sales, and coach the team on performance and career development.

Required profile

• Typically a Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in a related discipline; an advanced degree may offset less experience.
• Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field; certification may be required.
• A clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required, as the position requires operating a personal vehicle more than 20% of the average work week.
• Ability to manage a team of individual contributors and make decisions based on professional methods and business principles.
