Sales Consultant, Business Insurance

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is hiring a Sales Consultant for its Business Insurance team in Raleigh. MMA provides business insurance, employee health and benefits, retirement and private client insurance solutions to organizations and individuals, combining the personalized service of a local consultant with the resources of Marsh McLennan.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive prospecting plan, including targets and methodology for turning prospects into clients
• Network with centres of influence to create new opportunities
• Present MMA's value proposition for each opportunity and align the Agency's resources and capabilities
• Leverage referrals and targeted introductions from clients, prospects and business relationships

Required profile

• High school diploma
• Prior B2B sales experience with consultative sales skills
• Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without current or future sponsorship
• Additional qualifications are a plus but not required: Bachelor's degree or higher with a specialization in Risk Management, insurance industry experience, ability to engage and present with the C-suite, proven track record in new client development and retention, competitiveness in a collaborative sales environment
