Sales Arborist – Technical Tree Care Sales

About the role

Kramer Tree Specialists is seeking an experienced Sales Arborist to combine technical arboriculture expertise with sales acumen. You will act as a trusted advisor to residential, commercial, municipal, and business clients, providing expert tree care recommendations while growing your own book of business.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with residential, commercial, and municipal clients.
• Conduct on‑site property inspections, evaluate tree health and safety, and diagnose pests and diseases.
• Develop professional arboricultural recommendations following ANSI standards and prepare accurate proposals and cost estimates.
• Present recommendations, educate clients on proper tree care, and partner with production crews for successful project execution.
• Attend networking events and business development functions to generate new opportunities and consistently achieve sales goals.

Required profile

• ISA Certified Arborist (or ability to obtain certification within 90 days).
• 2+ years of arboriculture experience with proven sales or strong customer relationship management skills.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in an environmental or related field (preferred).

Required skills

• Tree identification and plant health care.
• Pruning, removals, pest management, and diagnostics.
• Ability to prepare estimates and develop detailed client proposals.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.

What we offer

• 100% commission compensation with estimated annual earnings of $55,000–$125,000 (uncapped).
