Rotational Bus Server Attendant

About the role

The Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs is hiring a seasonal Bus Server Attendant for its Food and Beverage department. The role covers the full service of guests' meals, from greeting them to clearing courses and handling payments, and may involve helping colleagues with other tasks because of fluctuating demand.

Key responsibilities

• Greet every guest warmly and welcome them according to Greenbrier standards, and know all venue offerings
• Execute water, bread and bussing duties, and assist with table maintenance, setting and detailing
• Present menus and beverages, place orders in the Point of Sale system and serve using full club service
• Take food and dessert orders, polish silver and glassware, fire courses and clear them
• Serve and explain all courses, make and serve coffee, tea, espresso, cappuccino and latte, and present checks and process payments
• Assist guests with their departure, keep the side station clean and organized, and follow the service script
• Answer calls professionally, stay up to date with ABC laws, attend pre-shift meetings and training, and keep supplies stocked

Required profile

• At least five years of waiter/waitress experience; four or five star dining experience preferred
• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
• Effective communication and enthusiastic knowledge of food and beverage offerings and their preparation
• Ability to pronounce menu items correctly and to work efficiently with materials and time
• Must pass a verbal and written menu test and a practical service test

Required skills

• Point of Sale terminal experience
• Knowledge of the Ten Essential Attributes for all employees
