About the role

The Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs is looking for a Room Service Clerk. The position is seasonal and reports to Room Service management. It suits someone who can work quickly and independently, with excellent telephone etiquette and good inter-departmental communication.

Key responsibilities

  • Answer telephones and take food orders from guests
  • Follow guidelines to run a proper room service register
  • Organize and prepare hang tags
  • Enter orders into the POS system
  • Think and react quickly on your own
  • Assist room service staff and managers when needed

Required profile

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
  • Telephone communications and customer service experience preferred
  • People person with a positive attitude, adaptable to change, able to handle stressful situations
  • Team player who upholds the hotel's vision and its 12 values

Required skills

  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Computer skills
  • POS knowledge preferred

Working hours: part-time, not more than 64 hours in a two-week period with no fixed days off; full-time around 30-40 hours per week.
