Room Attendant - Housekeeping

About the role

The Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs is hiring a Room Attendant for its Housekeeping department. The position involves performing daily maid service according to the Standard Operating Procedures, and requires availability Sunday through Saturday and on all holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily maid service: change all linen daily, clean the bathroom, dust all wooden surfaces, clean and/or vacuum all floors, and replenish amenities.
• Return guest room amenities, furniture and furnishings to their designated locations.
• Tidy guests' personal belongings such as clothing, shoes and toiletries.
• Handle special requests such as emergency clean-ups and provide extra requested amenities or furnishings.
• Communicate with guests about directions and describe hotel amenities and facilities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Housekeeping experience in a hotel or professional environment preferred; one year of consecutive work history showing dependability and commitment, or equivalent through school, extracurricular or volunteer activity.
• Satisfactory performance and attendance with 5 or fewer absences per year.
• Flexibility, neat and clean appearance, ability to handle pressure and deadlines, and comfort working around guests and their belongings.
• Ability to follow supervisor directions and work independently.
