Rooftop Host (Seasonal)

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic, guest‑focused host to lead the rooftop experience at Arlo NoMad during the busy spring‑summer season. The host will be the first and last point of contact for guests, setting the tone for a memorable stay.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and greet all guests, recognizing regular and VIP visitors.
• Check guests in, escort them to tables, present menus, and engage in friendly conversation.
• Handle guest complaints, diffuse unhappy situations, and involve management when needed.
• Manage reservations, confirm bookings one day prior, and answer phone calls with a warm, professional tone.
• Maintain an accurate reservation system (OpenTable or equivalent) and process credit‑card authorizations.
• Communicate table availability, wait times, and guest issues to the Maitre’d.
• Perform opening and closing side work, including handling lost‑and‑found items.
• Provide a courteous farewell to each guest, ensuring a lasting positive impression.
