Roark Key Holder - San Diego

About the role

Roark, an adventure lifestyle brand owned by Archipelago Cos, is looking for a Key Holder for its San Diego retail store. The role is part-time (29 hours or less per week) and involves opening and closing the store, managing the drawer and daily revenue drop, and supporting the team with customer service, operations and sales.

Key responsibilities

• Open and close the store and manage the drawer and daily revenue drop
• Assist the Store Manager in growing revenue through sales, guest experience and employee relations
• Run store product flow, restocking, back of house operations, supply needs and daily maintenance
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and brand image
• Oversee Cashwrap and POS procedures, reconcile tills, process returns, exchanges, gift cards and discounts
• Provide customer service, handle customer issues and communicate customer feedback to leadership
• Keep the retail floor clean, help with back of house duties such as receiving and placing product, and manage inventory so the store stays well stocked

Required profile

• At least one year of experience in sales and merchandising (preferably retail goods) with opening and closing duties
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 15 pounds and use ladders or stairs
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed
• Preferred: knowledge of action sports, climbing and camping, and a passion for the outdoors

Required skills

• POS sales experience (Shopify)
• Strong verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills
• Time management, organization and independent work ethic
