About the role

Cleveland Clinic’s Heart, Vascular & Thoracic Institute is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Weekender Flex Program. The RN will work two 12‑hour weekend shifts and one 12‑hour weekday shift, providing direct patient care in the HVTI Stepdown Float Pool during day hours (7:00 am‑7:30 pm).

Key responsibilities

Deliver direct nursing care to patients with cardiac, vascular and thoracic conditions.
Implement, monitor, and update patient care plans.
Document and communicate patient status, administer medications and treatments, and follow physician and nursing orders.
Assess discharge needs and educate patients and families.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
Current state RN licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
At least one year of acute‑care RN experience (military RN experience considered).

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
RN licensure and ability to administer medications.
