RN Weekender Flex – Med Surg

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital as a Registered Nurse on the 2 South unit, providing care for pre‑surgical patients, those needing antibiotics, wound care, and advanced procedures. This position is part of the Weekender Flex Program, offering a 36‑hour work week with pay for 44 hours and full‑time benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to diverse medical‑surgical patients.
• Implement, monitor, and update patient care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and document patient conditions.
• Perform advanced dressing changes, bedside thoracentesis/paracentesis, and assist with procedures.
• Coordinate discharge planning and educate patients and families.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure.
• One year of acute care RN experience or military RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS certification required for critical care areas.
• Ability to work weekends plus one weekday/night shift, including holidays.
