RN Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Program Manager

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking an experienced RN to lead its Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) program. You will develop performance‑improvement plans, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure ongoing Joint Commission certification for both Main Campus and the Weston site.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a limited VAD patient‑care schedule to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary meetings, prepare documentation, and apply performance‑improvement methodology.
• Lead preparation for the bi‑annual Joint Commission VAD site visits.
• Develop and maintain quality‑improvement programs and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Educate staff, APRNs, residents and other caregivers on VAD care and updated standards.
• Collect, analyze and present performance data to guide program development.

Required profile

• BSN and active RN licensure in Ohio and Florida.
• Minimum three years of experience with advanced heart‑failure therapies and VAD patient management.
• Strong understanding of Joint Commission VAD certification requirements.
• Ability to travel within the hospital system and to US‑based locations as needed.

Required skills

• BSN degree.
• Registered Nurse licensure (Ohio & Florida).

• Regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Proficiency with computer and office equipment for data collection and training.
