RN Triage Nurse - Family Medicine

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for its Family Medicine triage position in Asheville, North Carolina. The shift runs Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, and the location is 333 Gashes Creek Road. The nurse assesses and diagnoses patients' and families' needs to provide quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose patients' and families' needs to provide quality care.
• Develop and communicate realistic problem lists for each patient in collaboration with the patient and family.
• Implement medical plans of care, nursing interventions and procedures using necessary skills and judgment.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided.
• Provide patient education and support to address identified needs.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
• Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Fluent in spoken and written English (required).
• Ability to handle multiple priorities, make independent decisions and work alone effectively (required).

Required skills

• Basic Life Support / CPR certification (BLS) (required).
• Nursing care assessment, documentation and patient education.
