About the role
Teeth & Co. is looking for an enthusiastic, positive Registered Dental Hygienist to join its practice on Mondays and Thursdays. The practice describes itself as caring about both patients and its team, with a warm, team-centered environment that values collaboration and compassionate care.
Key responsibilities
- Perform prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance
- Complete periodontal charting, oral cancer screenings and medical history reviews
- Take and evaluate radiographs and intraoral photos
- Apply fluoride varnish and sealants, and administer local anesthesia where permitted by state law
- Educate patients on home care, nutrition and treatment recommendations
- Document care accurately in the practice management system
- Partner with the dentist on treatment planning and help patients understand recommended care
- Follow all infection control and OSHA standards
