RN – Transitional Care Neuro Expansion

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute is expanding its state‑of‑the‑art facility and seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the M80 Neuro Transitional Care Unit. This part‑time position provides step‑down and intermediate care for complex neurological patients, supporting advanced procedures and early mobility initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care in accordance with clinic policies, monitoring and documenting patient conditions.
• Perform and assist with specialized neurological procedures such as intracranial pressure monitoring, seizure monitoring, lumbar punctures, and central/arterial line placements.
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient education, ensuring cultural sensitivity and understanding.
• Administer medications and treatments per approved nursing protocols and physician orders.

Required profile

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred); current state RN licensure.
• Minimum one year of acute‑care RN experience (military RN experience considered).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Ability to work rotating day/night shifts on a 24‑hour per week schedule.
