RN Supervisor – Full‑Time Days Shift

About the role

The RN Supervisor provides direct patient care while leading a team of nurses and patient care technicians on a full‑time day shift. This role combines clinical expertise with supervisory responsibilities to ensure high‑quality, safe care for individuals and patient cohorts.

Key responsibilities

• Administer medications, start IVs, and coordinate patient discharges with the healthcare team.
• Organize, plan, and supervise coordinated patient care within the unit.
• Develop, evaluate, and mentor assigned staff nurses and technicians.
• Manage unit staffing, scheduling, and clinical supplies to support daily operations.
• Address conflicts, collaborate with unit leadership, and promote patient safety and quality initiatives.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN required for Ochsner Magnet facilities.
• Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support certification.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience or 2 years of LPN experience in acute care.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
• Knowledge of nursing protocols, evidence‑based practice guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
