About the role
This position provides direct patient care, including IV therapy, for mothers and babies in the OLGMC Mother Baby unit. The LPN works under the direction of a registered nurse and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Perform IV therapy and other clinical procedures as required.
- Assist and direct ancillary nursing staff with assigned duties.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure a quality experience.
Required profile
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment with good judgment and confidentiality.
Required skills
- IV therapy credential (preferred).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
