RN Shift Manager – Transitional Care Facility (Part‑Time, P‑Shifts)

About the role
The Nursing Shift Manager (NSM) is a Registered Nurse who leads the Transitional Care Facility unit during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced hospital environment.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce patient safety policies, including infection prevention, safe handling, and central line care.
- Provide direct nursing care, medication administration, patient/family education, and documentation.
- Coach staff on safety and quality standards, review assessments, and give constructive feedback.
- Communicate pertinent patient information to physicians, staff, and families to improve outcomes.
Required profile
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Current RN license in Missouri (or compact licensure) and Basic Life Support certification.
- At least one year of registered nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 35 lb and constant walking.
Required skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
