About the role

The RN Resident I position supports the Cardiology Stepdown Unit at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, providing care for patients with myocardial infarctions, heart failure, dysrhythmias, and pulmonary hypertension.

Key responsibilities

Participate in a residency core curriculum tailored to individual learning needs.
Provide direct nursing care under the guidance of a success coach.
Prioritize patient care based on acuity, preferences, and resource availability.
Identify and act on patient risk data to prevent adverse outcomes.
Document care accurately in patient medical records.

Required profile

Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
Current state RN licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
New graduate RN or less than one year of RN experience.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within the first year of hire.
