RN – Rapid Observation Unit (Night Shift)

About the role

The Clinical Decision Unit at Fairview Hospital provides extended care for patients expected to be discharged or admitted within 18 hours. As a Registered Nurse on the Rapid Observation Unit, you will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care during night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, including assessment, medication administration, and treatment delivery.
• Implement, monitor, and update individualized patient care plans.
• Document patient conditions, communicate changes to the care team, and coordinate discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and follow‑up care.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of acute‑care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• RN licensure and ability to administer medications and treatments.
