About the role

This full‑time RN position provides direct patient care using the nursing process, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, ANA standards, and Ochsner’s philosophy of nursing. The role involves leadership, delegation, and collaboration within an interdisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary partners.
• Delegate, direct, and manage nursing team resources while serving as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Use data and evidence to drive change and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• No prior work experience required.
