About the role

This PRN night shift RN position supports orthopedic and medical‑surgical patients in the Meridian region. The role involves delivering high‑quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and upholding Ochsner’s standards of excellence.

Key responsibilities

Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members while ensuring quality outcomes.
Educate patients and families, adapting communication to diverse cultural and linguistic needs.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and Ochsner’s policies.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
No prior work experience required.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Effective verbal and written communication.
