RN – Med/Surg and Cardiac Care (Night Shift)

About the role

The Registered Nurse will work the night shift in the Progressive Coronary Care Unit (PK II) at Fairview Hospital, providing high‑quality care to cardiac patients. This role involves direct patient interaction, education, and coordination of care throughout the patient journey.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions, including telemetry and dysrhythmia management.
• Administer medications and treatments, and follow physician and nursing orders.
• Assess discharge needs and educate patients and families.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current RN licensure in the state and BLS certification; ACLS required for critical‑care areas.
• At least one year of acute‑care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management.
